What Makes Advertisements an Experience?

Business is willing to fight tooth and nail to promote their message. But even after successfully deploying an advertising campaign, it would take up only one of the 10,000 ads that the average American sees per day. As good as the message may be, it will be lost in the sea of impressions that inundate you and me every time we pick up a phone or go outside. What can make an ad special? This is where experiential marketing comes in.

Experiential marketing focuses on engagement, pulling an audience in to fully immersing themselves in a brand. The very best, such as Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical or Ruffles’s Brazilian augmented reality video game AmiGO, makes you feel like more than an impression. For at least a moment, you’re simply a guest to the experience. Such a strategy is available to any business who looks for it, with companies like Visual Feeder striving to create these experiences for companies and viewers alike. Experiential marketing is the future of brand experience and will help an ad campaign transcend its 10,000 competitors.
